A 39-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of woman in Hammersmith. Victoria Adams, 36, died after officers were called to reports of a man trying to break into a flat in February.
Apapale Adoum, 39, of no fixed address, was charged on Thursday, June 5 with her murder. He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 6.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, June 10.
Victoria Adams died after officers entered a flat after being called to reports of a man trying to break into the property at around 10.15pm on February 9. He was arrested the same day on suspicion of murder.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “On Sunday, 9 February at 22:13hrs, police were called to a residential property in Coulter Road, following reports that a man was attempting to force entry into one of the flats. Officers arrived and having gained entry to the property found a woman, aged 36, who had sadly died.
“A 38-year-old man was initially arrested on Sunday, 9 February at the scene on suspicion of murder and subsequently charged as above.”
