Man fighting for life with serious head injury after early morning fight in Stanmore

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being found with a serious head injury in North West London on Saturday, June 29. The Metropolitan Police have said they were called at 7.43am to reports of a fight on Honeypot Lane in Stanmore.

When they arrived, officers found a man with a serious injury. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service who also attended the scene rushed him to hospital.

He remains in a life-threatening condition this evening, the police have said. The man’s family have been informed.

A man in his 20s was arrested nearby on suspicion of violent disorder following the incident. He remains in custody. Officers are carrying out enquiries and are urging anyone who may have seen anything to get in touch.

The full statement from the Metropolitan Police says: “Police were called to reports of a fight in Honeypot Lane, Stanmore at about 7.43am on Saturday, June 29.

“Officers and LAS attended and on arrival found a man with a serious head injury. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition. His family have been informed.

“One man, aged in his 20s was arrested nearby on suspicion of violent disorder. He was taken into custody where he remains.

“Enquiries are ongoing. Any witnesses yet to speak with police are asked to call 101, ref 1841/29jun. To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers.”
