Canadian photographer Dave is known for finding eerie abandoned homes and his latest discovery left him fascinated. He shared it on his YouTube channel Freaktography
A photographer recently discovered an abandoned house hidden for decades and couldn’t help but step inside. Dave is usually on the hunt for eerie properties which have been left for many years and shares updates on his YouTube channel, Freaktography.
And just recently, he visited a forgotten place in Ontario, Canada, which first appeared on Google Street View back in 2009 when the windows were already boarded up but the house was still visible. According to Dave, eye-opening photos show it’s one of Ontario’s most quietly famous forgotten houses. So one day he noticed the driveway and decided to explore it for himself.
Speaking in a clip he recently shared and then posted on Reddit, the explorer said: “Abandoned house I just drove past by total chance, I actually don’t know where I am.
“There’s a very thick brush and it’s tick season so I’m going to try and find another way around to see if I can get in to check it out. I don’t even know what it looks like inside as I just found it.”

After discovering a path, he continued: “I found an opening, it looks like an old busted up house.” Once he steps inside, he’s clearly quite fascinated.
“Very old, local kids have done a number it looks like,” he added. “Wow, what a mess. This is like the local kids hangout.”
While taking a glance at the street art all over, Dave pointed at all the graffiti on the walls and even spotted a piano in one of the rooms.
Moments later, he tried going to the next level of the house but claimed it was “too dangerous”. In a bid to find a safer way to go up a floor, he spots another staircase.
He asked viewers “are you getting dizzy yet?” as he walked through the house.
Leaving the abandoned property, he tries to find his way back to the car through the thick bushes.
After walking back to his car, he says you can’t even seen it because of the overgrown trees and bushes.
Between 2011 and 2022, Dave claimed at least 11 photo galleries of this spot had been shared online.
And when he found it himself, he could only spot the driveway at first as the “house was so hidden”. It was first shared on Reddit with the caption: “Well hidden abandoned house in Ontario that’s been forgotten for years.”
Many people rushed to the comments as one said: “A sad state for a once beautiful house. Shameful waste of beautiful history.” Another added: “For a house that’s been left to decay, there’s a lot of sage words.”
