A man has taken to social media to share how he discovered a secret room in his attic – and after exploring it three times alone, he started to question the history of his house
A man got the fright of his life after discovering a secret room in his attic – making him regret ever exploring it alone.
He explained how he came across a small separate room in his attic after boxing up some ill-used items for storage. He decided to investigate it – not expecting there to be anything inside.
But when he got a closer look, he soon regretted his decision as a “creepy doll” was staring at him with wide, open eyes. And that’s not the only weird thing to happen.
Responding to the ‘People who found secret rooms in your home, what was inside?’ thread on Reddit, he said: “The first time I went in there, I found this small creepy doll.
“The second time I went there, I found another practically identical creepy doll (I’d already thrown the first one out). I threw it out as well because it had some really f**** eyes.” But that’s not the only strange discovery he made in the secret attic room as he also came across a “weird tiny book that was like twice the size of my thumb”.
He added: “Each page just had these weird letters in them which I didn’t recognise.” Exploring the space for a third time, he says he once again came across another creepy doll. It was at this point that he started to question the hobbies of the previous homeowners.
He added: “I found another creepy doll as well. Yeah, the weird people who lived here before had some strange as hobbies. Yeah, some people collect dolls, but who the f*** gets a bunch of identical dolls with creepy-ass eyes and trashed that as well?” After that, we just used it for tinned food storage.”
Commenting on his post, one user said: “Maybe it was the same doll all three times. It just kept coming back after you threw it away.” However, another user shared the remarkable discovery they made in their own home after moving into a rental unit.
They said: “The rental listing had it down as a two bed, two bath. When we moved in we just did a cheeky little inspection and only found 1 bath, didn’t really think too much about it and took it anyways. A couple of weeks later my partner and I were finishing off our unpacking in the spare bedroom and noticed an accordion-style door inside the wardrobe, lo and behold, we found a fully loaded en suite. Full blown Narnia s***.”
