A man in his 20s was bottled on a busy street in Soho last night (May 10). He was attacked with a glass bottle near the Brewer Street junction of Rupert Street, in the heart of the West End, just after 10.30pm.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital with non-life-changing injuries. A police cordon was in place for some time after the assault, according to witnesses enjoying the popular nightlife area.
The Metropolitan Police is now investigating the late night incident. No one has been arrested in connection as of yet. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference 7930/10MAY.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at 22:35hrs on Saturday, 10 May to reports a man had been assaulted with a glass bottle on Rupert Street, Soho. A man in his 20’s was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service.
He was taken to hospital and his injuries have been deemed non-life changing. Police are making urgent enquiries to locate the suspect in the case.”
