Man in hospital after another ‘jumps out of car to punch him’ outside South Harrow station

A man aged in his 50s has suffered a serious head injury after being punched outside South Harrow station on Saturday night (June 28). Police say a man got out of a car and got involved in an altercation with the victim before hitting him.

Officers arrived to find the victim collapsed on the pavement, believing he fell to floor after he was punched. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

No arrests have been made in relation to the attack, as police continue to hunt for the attacker. The Met has issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed the attack.

A spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 11.50pm on Saturday, June 28 to Northolt Road (outside South Harrow LT station) to reports of a man injured. Officers attended and discovered a man in his 50s with a serious head injury. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

“It is understood a man exited a vehicle at the location and became involved in an altercation with the victim before punching him. The victim fell to the floor, sustaining the injury to his head. Local CID officers are currently investigating the incident and are in contact with the victim’s family who are receiving specialist support.

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the suspect.
