Police are urging any witnesses to come forward
A man was spotted on a train from Euston allegedly ‘spitting popcorn at passengers and shouting racial abuse’. A man has since been arrested after the incident which took place on board a train from London Euston to Tring in August. The suspect also allegedly racially abused two passengers; which is being treated as a hate crime..
British Transport Police officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident, which took place at around 6pm on Wednesday, August 27.
On the day in question, a man boarded a train at London Euston and is said to have spat popcorn at other passengers on the train. He also allegedly racially abused two passengers. Officers met the train at Tring railway station, and a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment and threatening behaviour.
The British Transport Police are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
