Police are appealing for information after a man was allegedly assaulted on the Tube during a row about blocked seats.
A passenger aboard the Piccadilly line was reportedly punched in the face after asking another man to move his bags and a buggy out of the way so others could sit down.
The incident took place sometime between 8.20am and 8.40am after the train left Hounslow Central on Monday, March 31. The attacker got off 13 stops later at Knightsbridge.
The British Transport Police (BTP) has now released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify in connection. The force believes the man pictured may have information that can help their investigation.
He appears to be young-looking Black man wearing a grey hoodie, grey tracksuit bottoms, white t-shirt and white trainers.
Anyone with recognises him, saw the incident, or has relevant information is urged to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 116 of 31 March. Anonymous reports can also be made to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111.
A BTP statement reads: “Between 8.20am and 8.40am on Monday 31 March a man boarded at Hounslow Central, the man asked another man to move bags from the seat and a buggy blocking the carriage.
“The man then punched him in the face, before alighting at Knightsbridge.
“Officers believe the man in the image may have information that can help their investigation.”
