A man, in his 60s, was allegedly raped outside of a church in Harrow on Wednesday (July 23). A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Police were called to reports of a sexual assault on Station Road, Harrow, at around 12.50am on Wednesday.
Bruke Desalagne, 32, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and rape. He has was charged with raped on Wednesday, July 23, and he was set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this morning.
The victim, a man in his 60s, is being supported by specialist officers. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “Bruke Desalagne, 32, of no fixed address has been charged with rape on Wednesday, July 23. He was set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday, July 24).
“Officers were called at 00:49hrs on Wednesday, 23 July to reports of a sexual assault on Station Road, Harrow. The victim, a man in his 60s, is being supported by specialist officers.
“Mr Desalagne was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and charged as above.”
