Man shot in Croydon with attacker not yet arrested

A man was shot in South London yesterday evening (Wednesday, May 21). Armed cops raced to Walsh Crescent, New Addington, Croydon, at about 7.25pm to reports of gunfire.

There they found the man in his 30s who was taken to hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

There have been no arrests. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 8108/21May.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 7.26pm on Wednesday, May 21, to reports of a firearm discharge in Croydon. Officers, including specialist crime officers, attended the scene at Walsh Crescent.

“A man in this 30s suffered gunshot wounds, which have not been deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have as yet been made.

“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 8108/21May.”
