A man was stabbed at a hotel in Hornchurch in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, June 12). He was found with multiple knife wounds close to the Southend Arterial Road at 1am.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital for further treatment. His injuries are not life-changing or life-threatening, according to a statement issued by the Metropolitan Police.
The force believes this was an isolated incident and does not pose a threat to the wider community. However, no one has been arrested in connection as of yet.
A cordon will remain in place on the A127 whilst an investigation is completed. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact 101, quoting CAD298/12JUN25.
The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for more information.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Thursday 12, June at 01:00hrs, officers from the Metropolitan Police and colleagues from London Ambulance Service were called to a hotel on the Southend Arterial Road, Hornchurch, to reports of a man with multiple stab wounds.
“The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were declared not to be life-changing or life-threatening. No arrests have been made at this time and a crime scene remains in place whilst specialist officers conduct their investigation.
“This is being treated as an isolated incident and it is not believed to affect the wider community.”
