A man was left shocked after he decided to try on a pair of jeans that had been made for women to see just how much the pocket sizes compared to the men’s jeans he was used to wearing
If you’re not a woman, chances are you’ve still hear women complain about the lack of pocket or the size of pockets on women’s clothing. While clothes made for men often contain several deep pockets for people to store things like their phone, wallet, keys, and whatever else they might be carrying around with them on a daily basis, women are forced to carry around purses and bags in order to be able to bring similar things with them.
While handbags are a good accessory for most outfits, it can be annoying to have to carry around with you if you want to go somewhere.
However, one American man named Nick Wilkins weren’t convinced that this was as big of an issue as women make it out to be. So to see for himself, he made a TikTok video to show himself trying on a pair of jeans in a women’s size to see for himself just how bad the pockets are.
“Today I’m gonna try on some women pants because I hear a lot of women say how bad the pockets are in these things,” he said at the start of the video, holding a pair of blue jeans in his hands.
The video then cut to him wearing the jeans, and he immediately noted how well they fitted him.
“Alright so pants are on. Tell me why they look kinda good,” he said while holding his phone, his wallet and some keys in his hands. “I’ve got a few things that I always have in my pockets, so I’m gonna try to put them in women pockets and see if it’s a struggle.”
“First we’re just gonna try the normal pocket. This is where I would put my phone” he said as he tried to put his phone in the front pocket. However, he soon struggled to get more than half of the phone into the pocket due to how small it was.
“Are you serious? That’s all it does?!” he asked, clearly shocked by how small it was before trying the front pocket on the other side. “Bro! No way it’s on the other side like that too – oh my gosh!”
“Now I know why you guys wear purses,” he said while both his phone and his wallet were sticking out of his front pockets before he was hit with another realisation. “You guys don’t have pockets with dresses too. “
“Erm, people who make women pants, let’s start putting some depth in there, why don’t we?” he then told the camera.
“They do make my booty look bigger though, woah,” he said at the end of the video, clearly impressed by the way the jeans were fitting him.
Several people took to the comment section of the video to share their thoughts. with one person writing: “Wait till you find out the ones with fake pockets.”
“The conspiracy theory is they make the pockets bad so we buy purse,” a second person wrote, while a third person said: “Your phone can technically fit in your back pockets, but I’m paranoid it could be stolen. Or if you have to sit, you have to take it out.”
“You also can’t ever sit with anything in them cus even the “bigger” pockets barely fit your phone,” said another viewer.
Another person shared: “i recently got cargo pants with a bunch of pockets and was so excited but it turned out they were fake.”
