A Glastonbury Festival-goer was so unhappy with the clothes he packed for the weekend, he ordered an emergency delivery of new outfits directly to the campsite

For some people, it’s important to always look our best – and one Glastonbury Festival reveller took that to the extreme at the weekend.

Charlie Martin was so uninspired by his choice of clothes for the weekend, he decided to arrange a delivery of new threads directly to the Somerset campsite. With the helping hand of fashion retailer ASOS, Charlie was sorted in time to watch the likes of Coldplay and Shania Twain safe in the knowledge he looked his best.

“Hated my outfits so got an ASOS delivery to Glasto,” he penned on his Instagram story alongside a snap of him holding up his package. ASOS soon caught wind of the story themselves, and shared his post to their own account, with the caption: “Turns out it’s not too late after all, absolutely genius.”

Scores of Instagram users were quick to praise Charlie’s proactiveness with one penning in tribute: “Iconic.” Another asked: “How did they find you through that crowd? Well done!”

A third added: “ASOS always pulls through.” And a fourth shared a similar tale: “Did this once through ACL Festival. ASOS comes through.”

Yesterday it was reported a massive clean up is underway at Worthy Farm, with a designated team of 300 litter pickers as around 200,000 people made their way home from the festival.

Andy Rock, the litter pickers’ team leader on the Pyramid Stage, said: “There’s about 300 staff down here this morning, and they all got up early in the morning to pick the litter to clear up from last night. They’ve been doing that for the last four days and every morning it’s a bit messy in the morning, but this place is absolutely spotless by about 10-11 o’clock.”

He said “nothing particularly unsavoury” had been found on site, but added: “I think somebody did leave behind some high-heeled crocodile skin shoes yesterday, but that was the strangest thing we found yesterday. I’m not sure why anybody brought those to Glastonbury, but mainly it’s the stuff you see around us. It’s cans, bottles, paper cups, and virtually everything we pick up gets recycled.”
