Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have now returned home to America following a quick trip to Nigeria, with the couple stopping over in the UK on their way home
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have arrived back in America following a brief 72-hour tour of Nigeria.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a number of charity events during their time in the African country and gave a powerful speech on mental health issues. They also met with injured servicemen and key figures.
The couple have now landed in Los Angeles, following a quick stopover in London. Despite briefly heading to the UK, they didn’t meet with any members of the Royal Family in what will be another snub for King Charles.

Now that they’re back in America, Meghan and Harry will be able to reunite with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. It’s believed the two youngsters were staying with their grandmother Doria Ragland while Harry and Meghan were in Nigeria.
While the couple were briefly in the UK before landing in Los Angeles, they didn’t reunite with the Royal Family. The decision comes following conflicting reports about Harry’s recent King Charles snub.
The Duke of Sussex returned to the UK without his wife last week to take part in engagements for the Invictus Games. It had been reported Harry was hoping to see his father, but the monarch had been too busy.
A spokesperson for Harry said at the time: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
However, it’s now been claimed Charles did offer to see his son but was instead rejected by Harry. It’s believed Charles offered his son the chance to stay in a royal residence, but Harry turned his father down and decided to stay at a hotel.
Charles is said to have made the offer because he knew that his son no longer had an official residence in the UK, The Sunday Times reported.
Meanwhile, the pair’s charity Archewell has been embroiled in a scandal after being labelled “delinquent”. A representative for AWF told The Mirror: “We have diligently investigated the situation and can confirm that The Archewell Foundation remains fully compliant and in good standing. Due payments were made promptly and in accordance with the IRS’s processes and procedures. Furthermore, all necessary paperwork had been filed by the Foundation without error or wrongdoing.”
