Meghan Markle has reunited with her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer as the two women came together to support Kelly McKee Zajfen following the death of her nine-year-old son
Meghan Markle has been praised for being an “undeniable force of pure love” after supporting her friend following the sudden death of her son.
The Duchess of Sussex reunited with her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer as the pair came together to support Kelly Mckee Zajfen and her non-profit organisation Alliance of Moms. Kelly set up the project after he nine-year-old son Georgie suddenly contracted and succumbed to a viral illness.
In a post shared on Instagram, Meghan was seen posing next to Abigail and Kelly as they wore Alliance of Moms T-shirts which read: “Love like a mother”. Alongside the post, Kelly wrote: “When we speak about the people in our lives who lift us up when you need it with undeniable force of pure love I think of these two.

“You inspire me. You pick me up when I need it and you Love Like A Mother! Thank you for continuing to support the @allianceofmoms For supporting this campaign and our youth. In doing so, you are supporting the mission to build bright futures for young parents who have experienced foster care.
“In honor of Mother’s Day, I hope YOU support this campaign, and #LOVELIKEAMOTHER.” Fans were loving the pictures and took the comments to share their support.
“Love to see women support women, mothers support mothers, friends support friends,” one person wrote. Another said: “What a great cause! So happy to see Meghan and Abigail,” while a third fan added: “This is really beautiful. I love the support systems for mothers being cultivated. You, Abi, and Meghan are doing beautiful and necessary work.”
Alliance of Moms is a “community of philanthropists who support pregnant and parenting youth in LA’s foster care system so that they can build a positive future for themselves and their children,” according to its website.
Kelly has opened up about her decision to set up the organisation and said she finds a small bit of solace in giving back. “It has allowed me to have purpose, and to see what’s in front of me,” she told People magazine.
She also spoke about the pain she felt following her son’s death. “Waking to the reality that my son is gone. It is hard to articulate this kind of pain. Where you can somehow function, but you are not entirely sure how every movement of your body is doing its job,” she said.
Kelly added: “We had no idea when we took him into the hospital that 12 hours later, he would not make it. My 9-year-old son George died. Died of Covid and viral health/meningitis-symptoms-signs-menb-vaccine-7394355>meningitis.”
