Meghan Markle delighted fans when she announced her brand new business American Riviera Orchard, with the Duchess of Sussex releasing a jar of jam as her first product
Meghan Markle could make a small fortune from the sale of her American Riviera Orchard jam, according to one royal expert.
The Duchess of Sussex launched her new lifestyle brand last month, but details on what was on offer had been kept under wraps until now. Meghan recently sent out the business’ first product to influencers, a luxury jar of strawberry jam.
Only 50 jars of the jam were made available, but royal expert Michael Cole believes Meghan can still make a lot of money from the product by pursuing one pricy supermarket. He explained: “There’s a celebrity supermarket called Erewhon which is nowhere back to front and they sell jars of honey that have been made by the bees owned by celebrities for up to £200 ($250) a jar.”

Speaking during an appearance on GB News, Michael added: “This is getting very serious. She’s got to make money.” Meghan sent the first batch of her jam jars to a range of influencers including fashion designer Tracy Robbins and her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.
Tracy shared a snap of the jam jar on Instagram and captioned the post: “@AmericanRivieraOrchard breakfast, lunch and dinner just got a little sweeter.” Abigail also shared her delight at receiving one of the jars.
On social media, she wrote: “This jam is my jam,” before adding: “A delicious taste of what’s to come indeed… love you so M.” She shared pictures of her new jam jar presented in a bowl of lemons which sat next to her as she played with Meghan’s dog.
Delfina Balquier – the wife of Harry’s best friend Nacho Figueras – also posted an image of the hotly-anticipated product on her Instagram Stories. She wrote: “Strawberry jam makes me happy. And I love your jam, @AmericanRivieraOrchard.”
American Riviera Orchard is set to coincide with the release of a brand new cooking show starring Meghan. Meghan’s latest Netflix project will show the “joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship.”
It will be produced by Sony Pictures Television’s The Intellectual Property Corporation, which has previously worked on The D’Amelio Show. Leah Hariton will serve as showrunner with Michael Steed. The Duchess of Sussex will be the executive producer alongside Chanel Pysnik, Hariton and Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman.
