Meghan Markle has set social media abuzz by telling fans to ‘mark your calendars’ for a special announcement, hinting at the return and upcoming release of her lifestyle brand.
Taking to Instagram on Monday evening, the Duchess of Sussex teased that As Ever has some ‘delicious surprises’ coming up. Featuring an image of a stack of delicious-looking pancakes, Meghan’s post was light on details but did promise a revival of some ‘favourite’ products as well as some newcomers. The launch of the products is set for June 20 at 8am, suggesting a restock of some tantalising treats might be on the menu.
A post on the brand’s official page was captioned: “Oh yes, honey…sweet things await. Mark your calendars for June 20 at 8 a.m. PT – we’re bringing back your favorites, plus some delicious surprises you won’t want to miss!”
The duchess then reposted this on her personal Instagram story, adding: “So much love has gone into this… and I can’t wait to share it with you this Friday, June 20th.”
Meghan also talked more about the announcement in her newsletter, where she wrote: “First off, a sincere thank you for making the debut of As Ever absolutely extraordinary.
“We had a feeling there would be excitement, but to see everything sell out in less than an hour was an amazing surprise. We are pleased to share that on June 20th, we’re going live with the products you love – plus, some new delicious surprises.”
This announcement comes after the duchess’s decision to take a step back from the company, holding off any new releases until the following year.
March saw the highly anticipated launch of her enterprise, with products flying off virtual shelves less than half an hour after going live.
The launch included a raspberry spread in keepsake packaging, herbal lemon ginger tea, herbal peppermint tea, herbal hibiscus tea, her flower sprinkles, crepe mix, shortbread cookie mix with flower sprinkles included and a limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb.
Discussing her hopes and goals for the As Ever brand with Fast Company, Meghan said: “I want to really focus on the hospitality angle of As Ever, but as we take the learnings, we can understand what the customer’s needs are seasonally.
“My heart is very deeply in my home. Everything comes from being rooted in the love story of your home and garden, and then you can imagine different verticals coming out of that.”
Meghan also revealed that she’s looking to expand the brand into the fashion world as well, explaining: “Fashion is a category I plan to explore down the line because I find it to be an intriguing space for me.”
A trademark application for As Ever has already provided hints about what Meghan’s new range might entail, listing items such as cookbooks, tableware, cutlery, and servingware.
