Meghan Markle’s latest business move was ‘not done with any malice’ and ‘didn’t overshadow’ anything, an expert has claimed after some raspberry jam and dog biscuits were teased

Meghan Markle’s business move was “not done with any malice”, and it did not overshadow anything, according to an expert.

Yesterday ahead of Trooping the Colour took place, a pal of the Sussexes shared some snaps online displaying some brand new American Riviera Orchard items. Chatter online soon saw critics slamming Meghan for the “bad timing” as Princess Kate made a return to public life after her cancer diagnosis.

But an expert has now claimed that the business move, done at the time it was seemingly down, was not done with any malice, and it did not overshadow anything. The expert also claims that Meghan had “no control” over the product tease.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, public relations expert Lynn Carratt revealed: “I don’t think Meghan sending a pot of her American Rivieria Orchard jam and some dog biscuits to the couple’s close friend Nacho Figueras a day before the Trooping of the Colour and Kate’s first public appearance since undergoing cancer treatment was done with any malice.”

She added: “She didn’t have any control over when Nacho would post them. And it didn’t overshadow anything.”

Polo player and close friend of Prince Harry, Nacho Figueras, took to social media mere hours before Trooping the Colour on Saturday to share that he had been sent some new – and previously unseen – American Riveria Orchard produce.

Nacho, who has been friends with the Duke of Sussex since 2007, took to Instagram to share photos of a new jam and some dog biscuits, both of which were perfectly presented in jars with rustic accents.

Meghan soft-launched her lifestyle brand back in March with an Instagram page, a fancy calligraphy-style logo, and a rustic-looking promotional video. She also launched a website with an email sign-up option, but the brand has been quiet ever since bar some quiet gifting to influencers, pals and celebrities.

Fans have reacted to the new items on social media. One person said on X: “It looks so good!” while another person pleaded: “Jam AND dog biscuits? Meghan, please take my money.”
