Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has a stunning jewellery collection that includes some of the most iconic and meaningful pieces in the Royal Family’s vaults

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is renowned for her fashion-forward style, often seen sporting the latest chic jewellery alongside treasured Royal heirlooms.

The Duchess seems to have a penchant for gold pieces, with many of her chosen earrings, necklaces and rings being delicate in design. Here’s a look at some of her most memorable jewels.

Meghan’s engagement and wedding rings

The engagement ring gifted to Meghan by Prince Harry holds a special place as it incorporates two diamonds from the late Princess Diana’s jewellery collection. The central gemstone of the trilogy design was procured from Botswana, a location close to the couple’s heart where they vacationed during their early courtship.

The ring later underwent an upgrade from a simple gold band to a more glitzy design, reports the Express. Mini pave diamonds embellish the band and encircle the three main stones, adding an extra layer of sparkle to the already dazzling ring.

Meghan’s wedding ring also boasts a rich history, having been crafted from Welsh gold – a tradition upheld by the Royal Family for wedding rings over the years. At the 2019 Trooping the Colour, shortly after the birth of Archie, Harry and Meghan’s first child, Meghan unveiled a third ring on her finger. This diamond-encrusted eternity band is believed to have been created to commemorate the beginning of the Sussexes’ journey into parenthood.

Princess Diana’s aquamarine ring

During Meghan’s 2018 wedding reception, Princess Diana’s aquamarine ring made its first public appearance in decades. In the latter part of her life following her split from the Prince of Wales, Diana was often seen donning a massive blue sparkler.

Meghan also wore the same ring during her 2018 Royal visit to Tonga and more recently, to New York’s Ripple of Hope Gala. Pinkie rings seem to be a staple in Meghan’s jewellery box – she has been spotted wearing several different styles over the years, each with its own unique significance.

On her TIME magazine cover, Meghan can be seen wearing a Shiffon Co. Duet Pinky Ring. Half of the proceeds from this ring are “invested into female-founded companies through the Startup Girl Foundation”, as stated on the brand’s website.

The ring’s design, featuring a small diamond adjacent to a larger one, is said to symbolise women lending a helping hand to each other – a “pinky promise”. At a previous Invictus Games held in The Hague, she sported the brand’s 1972 Tennis Pinky Ring. Additionally, the Duchess owns another diamond pinkie ring which she wore when she visited NY in 2021.

During her first joint outing with the late Queen in 2018, just after tying the knot with Prince Harry, Meghan sported a pair of stunning pearl and diamond earrings. These earrings, gifted to her by the Queen, likely hold a special place in her collection due to their sentimental value. The Duchess paid tribute to the monarch by wearing these precious pieces to the Queen’s funeral back in September 2022.
