Met Police officer charged with sexually assaulting two children

A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with sexually assaulting two children and raping an adult. Jamie Howlett, 33, formerly of Horley, is accused of six counts of sexual assault by touching of a child under 13 relating to two alleged victims, according to Surrey Police.

He has also been charged with five counts of rape, one of controlling and coercive behaviour, one of sexual assault by touching, one of sexual assault by penetration and one of assault causing actual bodily harm, all against a third adult victim.

Howlett, who is a serving police constable with the Met, is due to appear Staines Magistrates’ Court on August 9.
