Mindy Kaling made a joke about meeting Meghan Markle’s ‘pretty cool’ husband, Prince Harry, months after she appeared on the Duchess of Sussex’s now-axed podcast Archetypes

American actress Mindy Kaling has made a joke about meeting Meghan Markle’s “pretty cool” husband, Prince Harry, which came after the two posed for a snap at an event during the week.

Prince Harry recently spoke at the Beyond Burnout session at life coaching firm BetterUp’s summit. The Duke of Sussex is BetterUp’s Chief Impact Officer, with him making a rare appearance on-stage at the San Francisco-based event.

While speaking on the panel, the father-of-two was joined by Dr Adam Grant, BetterUp’s chairman of the Center for Purpose and Performance, and Kelly Jones, tech firm Cisco’s chief people officer. Star of The Office, Mindy Kaling, was in attendance, with the actress quick to pose for a snap with the Duke and make a fun joke online.

Taking to Instagram to share a snap of her posing with the Duke of Sussex, Mindy penned a caption that read: “Met my friend’s husband at a work event. Seemed pretty cool. Said he wrote a book. Gonna go check it out!”

In September 2022, Meghan Markle interview Mindy for her podcast Archetypes, which came before it got axed from Spotify. Meghan and Mindy’s chat was shared in The Stigma of the Singleton episode.

During Meghan’s chat with Mindy the women discussed feeling like outsiders and being lonely as children. They also spoke of wanting and dreaming of having a “cookie-cutter” life.

Commenting on Mindy’s post about Harry, Seth Rogen referenced a famous segment of Harry’s bombshell 2023 memoir, Spare. Commenting on Mindy’s snap, Seth penned: “He talks a lot about getting frostbite on his d*ck. 10/10 read.”

In the Duke of Sussex’s memoir, Spare, Harry spoke candidly about his painful experience with frostbite after he embarked on a 200-mile expedition to the North Pole in March 2011. In his tome, Harry revealed that the frostbite affected his ears, cheeks and “todger”.

Describing his frostbitten experience within his book, Harry wrote: “While the ears and cheeks were already healing, the todger wasn’t. It was becoming more of an issue by the day.”
