Delivery drivers are used to delivering questional parcels to people, but one man has shared the moment a woman was left red faced after an embarassing item fell out of an envelope infront of him
A delivery driver had to remain professional when an unfortunate item fell out of an envelope while delivering to the customer.
It can be awkward when someone comes across a personal item – especially when it’s a stranger and sees it falls out on the floor in front of you, while they’re stood there.
This was the case for one delivery driver who had to try and stay professional and not laugh as he watched one woman’s intimate item fall out of the envelope as he delivered it to her. He claimed it was tricky to not laugh and said the woman was left “embarrassed” by it.
He took to Reddit to share his experience, after someone had asked fellow delivery drivers what the “Most embarrassing/awkward deliveries you’ve done?” He replied: “Delivered to a really short girl, a massive dildo fell out of the envelope. She was embarrassed and I had a hard as hell time not cracking up as I walked back to the van.”
However, one Reddit user then picked up on his “unfortunate” choice of words and said: “This is an unfortunate choice of words because it almost definitely seems as if your second sentence is going to say, ‘I had a hard-on as I walked back to the van,’ but, you threw us a curve ball and refrained from perversion.”
The delivery driver defended himself and replied: “No it wasn’t intended to be sexual by nature. I have always used that phrase to mean to struggle to do something.” He then said he “struggled” to prevent himself from laughing in her face and he didn’t want to “embarrass her” as they both looked at the item on the floor.
Another fellow delivery driver shared a similar situation and said this encounter was with a father who came across an unusual order. They wrote: “A similar happened to me but it was actually a father who stopped me because apparently I just made a delivery and he didn’t want anymore and accidentally showed me his phone and I saw a plug ordered in the app and he told me it was his daughter who ordered it. I tried my best to not show my shocking face.”
