Marks and Spencer fans have been raving about the brand’s hooded puffer coat, which is currently 20% off ahead of temperatures dropping this week
Marks and Spencer customers have been rushing to get their hands on a practical hooded raincoat as temperatures are set to plummet across the UK.
The Thermowarmth Hooded Longline Puffer Coat is available in black or sage green and comes in UK sizes 6-24, although some sizes have already sold out. Style-conscious shoppers can also select their preferred length with the item available in regular or short options.
The coat typically retails at £70, but bargain hunters can currently enjoy 20% off, bringing the price down to £56. This offers a substantial saving of £14.
Customers have been praising the warm coat which features Thermowarmth technology to keep people comfortable during freezing winter weather, whilst the fabric also includes Stormwear technology and a hood, described as “showerproof to the maximum” by one purchaser.
Additional features of the longline coat include a fashionable funnel neck and a drawstring waist that enables wearers to adjust the coat to achieve their ideal fit.

Other coats suitable for rainy conditions include the Next Shower Resistant Padded Hooded Coat which comes in five versatile colours and is priced at £65. One customer commented about the jacket: “I love my coat. It’s so warm and comfortable to wear, and it kept me dry even after the heavy downpour yesterday.”, reports Wales Online.
Alternatively, customers can visit ASOS where they can purchase the ASOS DESIGN oversized fleece lined rain coat in navy or khaki for £60.
Back at M&S, the Thermowarmth Hooded Longline Puffer Coat is currently boasting a near-perfect review score of 4.8 out of five stars. One satisfied customer commented: “Absolutely love this coat, I’m quite short so wanted a length that wasn’t going to look silly. This offers choices of length which is such a good idea.
They added: “It’s so snug and warm, absolute quality so did not mind the price which to be honest wasn’t too bad as I think this coat will last me quite some time…fabulous.”
Another chimed in: “I have worn it a few times. Mine is sage green which is cheery in the winter. I find it very comfortable and warm. It is lightweight to wear. The hood is a little big in as much as I have to turn the rim back. This happens with all hooded coats I find.”
They went on to say: “It rained when I wore it and dried very quickly when I got home, so was able to put it in the cupboard quite quickly rather than leaving it out to dry for a long time. I haven’t washed it so I don’t know how that will go. For the price it is excellent value.”
Despite the glowing reviews, one shopper pointed out a flaw with the fit, stating: “Ordered the petite size. Arm length was very short.”
However, another M&S shopper countered: “This coat is worth every penny and more. Fits perfectly, colour lovely, showerproof to the maximum. Price amazing.”
