These are the muck-spreading bin-dodgers who have earned a place on the ‘Wall of Shame’ for dumping their rubbish in one East London borough. Redbridge Council regularly releases CCTV images of fly-tippers who litter the neighbourhood with filth, inviting a feeding frenzy of rodents while creating dangerous obstacles for vulnerable people.

A council spokesperson said: “Among the shameless fly-tippers caught on camera ditching their trash and disrespecting our borough was a buggy dumper, a group who tipped out waste from a wheelie bin, and a duo of TV tossers.

“Head to Redbridge Wall of Shame to view the footage here. If you can help identify any of the culprits in the six clips please contact Redbridge Council on [email protected].”

Last year Redbridge Council cleared 21,161 fly-tips in the borough, with 4620 tonnes of waste removed from the street – the equivalent of 355 double-decker buses. The council says fly-tipping leads to costs that could be spent on vital services; causes obstruction for the disabled, visually impaired, and pram-pushers; leaves the area looking messy; and attracts vermin like rats and mice.

If you spot a fly-tip in the borough you can easily report it here, or use the councils Love Clean Streets app, designed to make reporting street issues easier.

A spokesperson added: “All fly tips made known to the council are recorded and investigated, with enforcement action being taken if evidence is found. The council aims to clear all recorded fly-tips on council land and the highway within 24 hours of it being reported. You can also submit evidence of perpetrators or their vehicles on our Report It page which will aid enforcement investigations.”Wall of Shame
