A 19-year-old from North West London has been found guilty of murdering another 19-year-old by stabbing him with a kitchen knife last year.
Police were called to Masefield Avenue in Stanmore on September 4, 2023, to reports of a man being stabbed. Officers and the London Ambulance Service found Anis Omar Zen suffering from stab wounds. Sadly, Anis died at the scene.
Saeed Ibrahim, from Stanmore, was found guilty at Inner London Crown Court of the murder of Anis after forensic analysis of the knife found close to the murder scene.

Anis was on Masefield Avenue after he took a taxi to visit a friend. The taxi driver said that he saw a man carrying a large knife running along the road towards Anis. After Ibrahim confronted Anis, he stabbed him in the chest.
Another witness at the scene saw Ibrahim get rid of items in a bush, with police finding the knife when they searched the area. After forensic analysis of the knife, they matched the DNA to those involved in the case.
Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith, from the Specialist Crime Command who led the investigation, said: “Once again, a family has had to sit in court listening to the details of how their loved one lost their life in a brutal and entirely unjustified attack with a knife.
“Our thoughts remain with Anis’s family as they continue to struggle to come to terms with their loss.
“Throughout our investigation, and this trial, Saeed Ibrahim painted himself as the victim – claiming he had been attacked. Eye witness accounts showed this not to be the case, and the jury have today found him guilty.
“The dangers of carrying a knife, and the willingness to use it, are all too evident in this case. Ibrahim can expect a lengthy prison sentence for his actions.”
Ibrahim will appear for sentencing at the same court on Friday, 6 September.
