A woman has been slammed after admitting she faked her own death to get back at her ex-boyfriend, who left her for his ex-girlfriend six months ago

A woman has been urged to seek professional help after admitting she faked her own death to get back at her ex-boyfriend. She says her boyfriend broke up with her six months ago to restart a romantic relationship with his ex-girlfriend, leaving her devastated.

In a Reddit post, she shared how she fell into a “deep depression” before coming up with a plan to get revenge on her ex-boyfriend. However, social media users believe she took her revenge ‘too far’, with some even urging her to speak to a therapist about the situation.

She said: “Six months ago he left me for his ex whom he assured me was abusive and he had no feelings for. No apology, no explanation. Just blocked me on everything and I never heard from him again. He lied about everything and I only found out by chance. It was heartbreaking.”

“Every day since I just wanted him to know how much pain his actions could cause. I figured if he knew then he wouldn’t act that way, but instead of harassing him or begging I left it alone for six months. Fell into a deep depression and moved on with my life as best as I could. But I decided that if he ever did reach out I would tell him I died. Make him regret treating me like **** and throwing me away for all those months.”

Then, she received a long text message from him apologizing for how he handled the situation and for ‘mistreating’ her. She said: “I responded to him as my sister and said that my family had been trying to contact him. I told him I passed away and left a note with his name, listing things she wanted to leave for him. He seemed in shock. I told him I could mail the stuff to him if he wanted it.”

“He gave me his address, and I’m mailing it tomorrow. He will never find out. We have 0 mutual friends, I never use social media, and our city is so big that we will never run into each other. I hope he feels like ****. I hope this taught him to never again treat someone that disposable. He treated me like I was already dead to him, so I just made it a reality.”

Commenting on her admission, one user said: “I don’t know what to say about this.” Another user added: “Why lower yourself to his standard? That makes you just as abusive as he was. Emotional distress is still abuse. Be better. Leave it alone.” A third user said: “Find a good therapist.”

However, some people praised her for her actions, with one saying: “This is so completely evil and insane, but I’m completely here for it. Hopefully, this causes a ton of emotional damage to him and makes him completely rethink his ways.”
