One mum has been roasted for her choice of baby name, which people say deserves prison time.
In this day and age, anything goes when it comes to baby names. Celebs like Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk have pushed the boundaries when it comes to acceptable monikers, meaning classrooms will soon be full of X Æ A-Xiis, Saint, and Apple.
Whilst it’s your choice what you want to name your little one, an unusual name can set them up for a lifetime of being bullied and ridiculed – so sometimes it’s better to play it safe. However, one woman was adamant she wanted to call her daughter after a common sweet treat…
Taking to Reddit, one anonymous user claimed a woman she worked with named her daughter Lolipop. Her last name? Lick (no, we wish we were joking).
“I just… I didn’t believe her [but] she showed me the birth certificate. I still have a hard time believing it,” the post reads. “It is still, by far, the weirdest name I have ever personally come across (and I once taught a VERY white boy named Charging Buffalo).”

Hundreds of tickled users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the unusual moniker, as well as to share the most bizarre names they’ve ever come across. “This stuff is why some countries have a list of approved names,” one person wrote.
Another commented: “Lollipop Lick is rough, but the white kid named Charging Buffalo is DESTROYING me.” A third added: “Not only is that a p*rn star name that’s a great stripper name too.” While a fourth joked the parent should go ‘straight to prison’. Other wild names people have heard included Candy Rain, Candi Apple Reddish, Tera Dickhoff and Justin Hale.
