Getting dumped is never nice, but now one woman has finally got her revenge on an ex that brutally dumped her for finding someone ‘better’ – and is thrilled at the outcome
A woman was left heartbroken when her ex dumped her for someone more “suitable” – and has now got sweet revenge.
Getting dumped is never nice, especially when you find out it’s because your partner has found someone new, and one woman knows this feeling all too well after she found out he married a woman his family “approved” of more than her.
She was told it was because she wasn’t willing to “sacrifice” her career for him, and he and his family thought she wouldn’t be a “good” wife for him. Eventually her heart mended, and she got engaged with another man – so she was gobsmacked after one day getting a message from her former flame, claiming he wants to leave his wife and get back with her. But her revenge was a slow and sweet one.
The woman admitted she’s still “mad with rage” over how he treated her when they were together and took to Reddit to vent about the situation. In an anonymous post she explained that she got a scholarship to study in New Zealand and took it. The post said: “He thought that me not sacrificing my career and dreams for him meant that I would not be a good wife and I didn’t love him that much.”
Because of this, she claimed he dumped her, and it left her “heartbroken” and said she was depressed for over a year. She then claimed that most of their mutual friends suddenly “stopped talking to me”and told her she had “broke a good guy’s heart due to stupid aspirations.”
After cutting them all out, she started a new life and got engaged to her new partner. The post further detailed: “I got engaged to my wonderful fiancé. He is honestly, the best man I know, and my parents adore him. I finally feel like life’s shaping up.” However, sehhe has just had a message from her ex on Instagram from a fake account.
“I told my fiancé, and he advised me to respond, just to see if there was an emergency or anything. My ex then said that he needed to call as this could only be said over call. Like an idiot, I gave him my work number. He then started with how sorry he was for how he treated me.
“He then talked about how utterly stupid his wife is, and that she has no brains and is the most boring ‘thing’ he has. How he misses his mom and he hates not having anyone to talk to, as I was his best friend, and could understand him. He is now desperate to leave her, as he cannot stand her,” she further explained.
The woman then claimed her ex told her how he will “do better” and promised her things would improve” and when she asked him why he was calling, he simply told her to “come back”. She said she told him to “f himself” and called him a “loser who is just jealous” that she’s happy.
The post concluded: “I told him never to talk to me again and that I was not to be blamed for his patriarchal mindset. Then I blocked him. I am still mad with rage over what he said. What gives men that much audacity? Where do they go to become this delusional?”
People were quick to chime in with their thoughts, as one Redditor commented: “This is one of the best things I had read today. You did the right thing at every point. You go girl. Did not sacrifice your career. Dumped all the loser friends. Kept in touch with whoever you cared for. Found a better life and man. Were cordial with the ex only once and promptly told him to f*** off. The only thing I wished you could have done. Recorded his call and sent it to all his loser friends and girlfriends. And block. Oh sweet revenge without violence.”
Another added: “You finally saw him realising how he under some one else’s influence, ruined his own life by dumping you. Now he is bound to a life of frustration and that is obviously his problem. I just feel sad for his wife. He calls her these names and looks down on her, if that is the case, why not break it up?”
