People are convinced that an eerie image of a messy attic shows a ghost peering around the doorway, with some suggesting they’d be forced to move home if they had captured the snap

A chilling image has emerged online and it’s left some people saying they would move out if it was taken in their house.

The snap was shared to the Ghosts Caught On Camera group on Facebook this week by Jente Andritsos from Belgium. They wrote in the caption: “A friend of mine caught this on camera in his attic… What do you guys think?”

The image shows the door frame of a rather ordinary attic room. However, eagled-eyed viewers might be able to spot what seems to be a ghostly face in the top left of the door frame. The figure becomes more clear when the brightness on the image is enhanced.

Some people on Facebook seemed convinced it was a genuine ghost. The post racked up more than 1,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

“It’s scary looking and terrifying! I don’t think I could ever go up in the attic again after seeing that,” one comment read. Another person wrote: “I’d be moving tf out that’s what I think.” And in a similar vein, a third Facebook user wrote: “Oh heck no. I’m out.”

Other people seemed more bothered about something else in the photo – the mess! One joked: “With all that clutter in the way it will fall over it so don’t worry forget about it!”

A second said: “The poor ghost is peaking round the door thinking… I’m not going in there till you clean this mess up… to be fair it’s a lot neater than any attic I’ve ever had!”

And sharing their own creepy encounter, a final commenter said: “I had a similar occurrence earlier nights ago when I returned home after training, went to let myself in when I saw a grey pile of something immediately to my right in the corner of the patio. I reached down, thinking it was a parcel that had been left for me and it immediately disappeared.”
