A man has shared his heartache as he explains how his girlfriend of two years broke up with him over their ‘astrological incompatibility’, as her astrologer claims two cancers do not make a good match
A man has been left heartbroken after his girlfriend broke up with him because they’re ‘incompatible on an astrological level’. The 24-year-old thought everything with his girlfriend, also 24, was going smoothly until she visited an astrologer, and her mood towards him completely changed.
He says he was starting to imagine his future with her – considering engagement, marriage and children somewhere down the line. But this was all thrown in his face when she dumped him over their “astrological incompatibility” as they’re both cancer star signs.
He said on Reddit: “We were together for two years. However, a few days back she checked with her astrologer whether we were compatible or not. I don’t believe in astrology but she’s convinced by it. The astrologer told her that we were absolutely incompatible and that if we were to get married things might work out till the age of 29 or so.
“After that, it’s not going to work and we will only experience frustration and things will go downhill. The next day she calls me crying and tells me what the astrologer said and that she’s ending it. It’s in her head that this relationship will eventually fail and she says it’s not fair to the both of us to continue.

“We were so damn close and we both used to think we were perfect for each other. She understood me right down to the core.” Unable to come to terms with the breakup, he has taken to social media to seek advice and ultimately move on.
He added: “Out of all the things I considered that might cause us to break up, this was not even a possibility. I don’t even believe in astrology and yet it’s real enough to cause me such pain. She wants us to be friends. I don’t know if I can do it. I’m not able to stop thinking about her. It’s affecting my work and my studies. I don’t have anyone to confide in as I don’t have many friends. How do I move on from this?”
While most people believe he “dodged a bullet”, others ridiculed the woman for putting her love life in the hands of an astrologer. One user said: “Here to say it sounds like you dodged a bullet. If she’s capable of letting something like that affect life decisions then she is a ticking time bomb.
Another user added: “Even if I believed in astrology as hell, if I loved my man truly I’d like to spend those remaining couple of years with him.” A third user said: “Bruh, don’t get mad, but I think she maybe hit her head too hard somewhere and is seeing those stars she blames. Honestly, if she believes in astrology and wants a breakup, she just found a pathetic excuse to end things with you or is really dumb. Either way, I think you dodged a bullet.”
