Jaroslaw Jadwidzic, 46, died after being hit by a parked van which was involved in a collision in Southall two years ago
A widow says she has felt “indescribable” pain everyday since her husband was killed in an unsolved hit-and-run. Jaroslaw Jadwidzic, 46, died after being hit by a parked van which was involved in a collision in Southall two years ago.
A black Mercedes reportedly overtook a bus before hitting the parked van next to the Iron Bridge bus stop on Uxbridge Road at the Junction with Greenford Road. Mr Jadwidzic was working at the bus stop when the van ploughed into him around 5.50am on October, 15 2023.
He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service with serious injuries but sadly died in hospital nine days later. The driver and a passenger of the vehicle, both believed to be males, fled the scene before officers arrived.
His wife Mariola said: “The death of Jaroslaw has had a huge impact on my life because I lost one of the most important people to me, what I feel every day is indescribable.
“I want justice for what happened and for those responsible to admit to what they have done. If you know or saw what happened, please come forward and tell the police.”
Police have now issued a fresh appeal for information on the incident. Detective Sergeant Nush Puvitharan from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Jaroslaw who are still waiting for answers around this death.
“Investigators have been working on this for two years to try and piece together the details leading up to the collision.
“There were members of the public in the area at the time of the collision who we haven’t been able to identify and who haven’t spoken to us. We’d urge anyone who was a witness to please come forward, even the smallest bit of information could make a difference in this investigation.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or online, quoting CAD 1496/15OCT2023. To report anonymously, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
