A woman has shared how her ‘Mambo No. 5’ revenge on her lying boyfriend not only sent his head into a spiral but also bought his wife time to get her affairs in order
A woman has been praised for getting “iconic” revenge on her boyfriend after discovering he has a secret wife at home. She explained how she started dating a man who claimed to be divorcing his wife after their relationship broke down – but much to her shock, this was all a lie.
Taking to Reddit, she said: “I found out that my boyfriend had a wife and was not indeed separated from her and getting divorced as he said. I found out because his wife messaged me! Apparently, it’s not the first time he’s pulled this bull**** either.”
Wanting to get her own back on him, she came up with a revenge plan to mess with his head, referring to it as “The Mambo No. 5 Plan”. She added: “I created several fake accounts using different phone numbers from virtual eSIMs and messaged him from multiple platforms to make it look like he had a different method of communicating for each girl to keep them separate, ie he’d talk to Rita on Instagram, Monica on Facebook etc.
“And the messages sent was a version of the lyrics from Mambo no. 5 by Lou Bega. Here’s what they were… Monica – I need you in my life. Erica – felt so good when you f***ed me sideways. Rita – you’re all I need to be happy. Tina – I know it’s complicated but I only have eyes for you. Sandra – I miss seeing you in the gym, why don’t you train anymore? I hope it’s not because of our post-workout subbed sessions together. Mary – when are you coming for another sleepover? Jessica – I’m here if you need to talk.

“I tried to stick closely to the original lyrics, Toxic as f*** Mambo No. 5, just like the original.” She sent the messages in a “mixed up order” hoping he wouldn’t cotton on – and sat and watched his head spiral with every direct message. She said: “I let his wife know what I was up to and we took it in turns over a few weeks to “discover” these messages. The look of fear when I’d ask to use his phone for different reasons was priceless.
“Then after a few weeks of fun making his life hell and she’d sorted out her affairs and got a lawyer, we both dumped his cheating a**. It was petty I know but my inner feminist is still happy at using that misogynistic song to take revenge on one.”
Commenting on her post, one user said: “I’m sorry that you got deceived to such a degree, and glad that you managed to sort your lives out, without this a**hole. Who cares if it was tame or not, it was funny and you did a good thing for your life and his wife’s life. Props.”
Another user added: “Wow.. yikes. F*** that dude!” A third user said: “This woman distracted a man for weeks so his wife got a chance to get her affairs in order and leave a bad relationship. That’s f***ing Iconic to me.”
