A desperate woman has reached for support, confessing she has no one to talk to, after her mum demanded she marry her dead sister’s husband because ‘the kids need a mother and he needs a wife’
Grief can do crazy things to someone’s mental health, causing them to shut down all rational thoughts. But one woman has revealed her dangerous situation after discovering that her mother wants her to marry her dead sister’s husband.
Sharing the terrifying situation on social media, she wrote: “I am beyond appalled, disgusted and just f**king shocked. I’ve got no one I can tell this to yet, and I need to get it off my chest.
“Four months ago, my sister, 27, passed away and left behind her six children. Collectively, we have done our part as a family to help them regain normalcy the best we can. We have been by their side every step of the way in dealing with her absence and their grief.”

The 23-year-old woman continued: “My late sister’s husband, Roger, 30, has been saying some inappropriate comments, usually on the lines of how I look exactly like my sister. I still make every effort to manage the kids to the best of my ability and I still have them on my days regardless.”
Revealing that she’s taken steps to stay away from him while still caring for the bereaved children, she was left stunned when she returned home one afternoon to find her sister’s clothes and even her wedding dress strewn around the house.
She continued: “My mother, my other sister, Roger, and his brother were all sitting around with the clothes. According to them, my deceased sister’s kids require a mother and her husband requires a wife, and since I am an ‘identical copy’ to her, I am the one to fulfill these roles.
“Like what the actual f**k. I am fully aware grief can cause individuals to say weird things and act oddly at times, but this is something entirely different. The most dreadful aspect for me was the fact that they had already taken away her photos and begun preparing for the wedding.”

Thankfully, help arrived for the young woman in the form of Roger’s parents who welcomed her and the children into their home and told her they were horrified by their son’s behaviour. She went on: “She is adamantly against this nonsense and feels we all are not safe around them I strongly agree with. I am fortunate to have an opportunity to work elsewhere, but I can’t imagine leaving my nephews behind in this mess.”
The distraught woman explained that she was in a state of shock and couldn’t wrap her head around the situation, adding that her brother-in-law, mother, and sister had always been sane, level-headed people.
People reading the horrifying Reddit post implored her to take steps in case her family did something illegal. One person replied: “Thank goodness his parents are against this because they are right, you likely are not safe. Do yourself a favor, as hard as it’ll be to leave the children, it’s best for you. Grief can make people do crazy stuff, if you’re away from it, you won’t be pulled into it. You should speak to the police and a lawyer.”
And someone who blasted: “I’m so sorry for your loss, but that’s crazy. Did you time-travel back to the middle ages? Replacing your sister as his wife? That’s some actual crazy in your family.”
