Chocolate lovers are rushing to a popular discount shop to get their hands on a treat that reminds them of their childhood – and comes in two different flavours
There is nothing like taking a bite of a delicious chocolate bar when you are in need of a pick me up or sweet energy boost. Often, with so much choice on the shelves and new products being released all the time – such as the new Cadbury Bournville flavours – it can be hard to choose which chocolate bar to go for. Often, the classics are a perfect go-to and people have recently been reminiscing about their favourite childhood treat as Nestle have released a new chocolate bar in UK stores.
Nestle have released a range of Jungly chocolate bars – one milk chocolate and another white chocolate – which is inspired by the Animal Bars. The mini chocolate bars were popular with children from the ’60s before being discontinued in 2023. Gutted fans were heartbroken as not only did they associate the bars with their childhood, but the treats had games inside the wrapper too.
But thankfully, now chocolate fans and shoppers can get their hands on a similar version in Home Bargains. Some have already rushed out to try the dupe.

New Foods UK, a popular food and drink page, shared a picture of the chocolate bars and a post reading: “Who remembers these chocolate bars? Spotted today at our local Home Bargains.”
One who has already tried the treats, said: “They are nice, I had one last night. There are biscuit pieces inside the chocolate.”
While another added: “Yes nostalgia.”
A third chimed in: “They remind me of those Animal Bars that you used to get.”
While someone else added: “Used to love an Animal Bar.”
Another wrote: “Now we all remember the animal bars in the 90s tasted like s**t but we loved it.”
While someone else insisted: “Need a trip to Home Bargains.”
One individual also said they had spotted them in Gran Canarias recently.
Nestle Jungly is usually found in Spanish shops and boasts Spanish writing on the wrapper. You shop the treat on YourSpanishShop.com for €2.78 (£2.41), but you will also be charged delivery costs.
If you are keen to shop for the treat, you will have to head to your nearest Home Bargains store as the chocolate is not available to buy on the Home Bargains website currently.
In other chocolate news, McVities has changed the name of popular biscuit after removing vital ingredient. Plus, fans spotted a “big issue” as Cadbury’s confirmed a new Crunchie flavour. Some have spotted a “problem” with it.
