TV presenter Noel Edmonds delighted fans when he stopped by an ice cream shop recently. But, even though people were delighted to see him, all they could talk about was his shoes

Noel Edmonds has put his foot in it – but in the most unexpected way.

A picture of the TV presenter has gone viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, after he was spotted at Laxey Beach Stop Cafe recently. He was seen posing with staff as he tucked into an ice cream for a much deserved sweet treat.

But, even though people were stunned at the celebrity sighting, it wasn’t the ice cream that got people talking. Even though the picture is lovely, people simply can’t stop looking at his shoes.

In the snap, you’ll see Noel is wearing jeans, a jacket and some brown shoes. The only thing is the shoes don’t match – he appears to be wearing a tanned brogue along with a brown boot on the other foot.

A woman, known as Julia Suzanne, shared a screenshot of the image on social media, and said: “I have questions about Noel Edmonds’ shoes.” It’s fair to say it’s got a lot of people talking.

Who would have thought we’d live in a world where we can’t take our eyes off Noel Edmonds’ feet?

One person quipped: “Heel or no Heel.” Another wrote: “Twice in my life I have gone out wearing odd shoes. Not my proudest moments. Once was to work.”

A third replied: “One to match his hair, the other to match his beard.” Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Maybe he had two pairs he really liked, and found comfortable. And eventually a shoe from each pair became damaged.

“So he just wears the remaining two. Or he mixed them up in his rush to get free ice cream.”

The cafe, which is located in the Isle of Man, were thrilled to share the snap and show off that TV royalty had stopped by. It sure is a lovely picture, but nobody expected the attention to turn to Noel’s feet.

Even though some were quick to make jokes, others also tried to make reason of the situation. One more added: “Maybe the left one fits and is comfortable on the left foot, and the right the right foot…. And he’s confident enough to wear what’s comfortable….. maybe….. principle of charity.”
