Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais has hit back at her dad’s band’s older fans and dismissed accusations of being a ‘Nepo Baby’. She also revealed that she often turns to her dad for advice, describing him as the “most level headed person” she knows.

In a recent interview, Anais dismissed the ‘Nepo Baby’ label, asserting that only her father’s wealth, not his fame, has aided her since she hasn’t pursued a career in music.

She said: “With my family, what you see is what you get. They are really hard working people. With my dad, I would always go to him for help or advice – it’s funny that a rock star from the 90s is like the most level headed person I know. He’s definitely my guiding force in life.”

Like many others, Anais is eagerly anticipating the Oasis Live 25 tour. She added: “This year is going to be pretty busy. I want to get more into taking photos on film sets. And personally? Limit the amount of hangovers I have after all the Oasis concerts, remember to take my supplements and drink a lot of water.”

An influencer and photographer, Anais, who is the daughter of Noel and his first wife Meg Matthews, hopes to expand her photography work, reports the Mirror. She cites Jill Furmanovsky, known for her iconic shots of Oasis, as a significant influence.

Anais, opening up to Hello! Fashion magazine, said: “All my privilege and in quotation marks ‘luck’ has come from my financial stability – not my dad’s fame. I went to school with a lot of wealthy people who probably had the exact same amount of privilege as me, but they wouldn’t get called a nepo baby because their dad is a lawyer or a politician.”

She added: “My dad paid for my private education, he paid for my university degree. I was given money to live on so I didn’t need to get a job when I was at University. If I needed a new camera, he would buy me a new camera to help with my studies. All of those things made my life easier than my friends who had to struggle whilst they were studying. But I never wanted to be a musician, so him writing Wonderwall never really helped me out. But him having money? Yes.”

Further commenting on Oasis culture, she reflected on how older fans treat newcomers: “I see this all the time actually – where someone will post a funny video or a cover song and people would say ‘[Oasis] would hate this’. No, no, you hate this.”

She added: “Sometimes people put this hyper-aggressive masculine ideology into what they think that my dad and my uncle are going to be like. They’re actually a lot more accepting than the fans are.”

Anais hit out at the behaviour of some Oasis fans, particularly the way they approach young female fans. She said: “People really love to hate on anything that young women like and it’s really fascinating to me that young women want to go and see Taylor Swift and they’re criticised because apparently it’s not cool or it’s embarrassing – and then young women want to go see Oasis and they’re not allowed. So, where are young women allowed to take up space? People used the excuse of saying ‘you weren’t around’, as a huge music fan myself, loads of bands that I like split up or were dead even by the time that I came to listen to them.”

Noel and Liam are set to share the stage for the first time since Oasis disbanded on July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The reunion tour will also include gigs in Manchester, London, and Dublin.
