NS&I has announced the Premium Bonds winners for the June draw, with some big prize winners from Cambridgeshire. Two lucky customers from the area won a £100,000 prize, while there were 10 prizes for £25,000 dished out for the region.
One of the £100,000 prizes was for winning Bond 485FY325753, which was purchased in January 2022. This person previously had a total of £27,265 in Bonds.
The other £100,000 prize was awarded to winning Bond 611SM642713, which was bought just two months ago in January 2025. This person held the maximum total holdings of £50,000.
The two £1million jackpot prizes went out to a saver from Stockport and a saver from Edinburgh. They had winning Bond numbers 103FE583469 and 352AC359547 respectively.
In announcing the results, NS&I retail director Andrew Westhead said: “A huge congratulations to our winners in Edinburgh and Stockport. It’s particularly exciting to see Edinburgh celebrate its first jackpot win in eight years, while Stockport marks its second jackpot winner in Premium Bonds history.
“It’s not just about the jackpot winners though. This month, ERNIE awarded over 5.9 million prizes worth more than £416million, giving many Premium Bonds holders across the country an exciting summer boost.”
A number of people from Cambridgeshire also won £10,000 prizes and £5,000 prizes in the June draw. Savers who have gone several months without any wins may be thinking of cashing in their Bonds, particular after the prize fund rate recently fell again.
From the April draw, the prize fund rate dropped from 4% down to 3.8%, having fallen previously in January and in December 2024. The odds of each £1 Bond winning remain at 22,000 to one, as they have been since the December 2024 draw.
Many savers arrange their accounts so any time they win a prize, the funds are automatically used to buy more Bonds, so increasing their chances of winning again.
