Noel and Liam Gallagher are playing in London on Saturday and Sunday (September 27 and 28)

Oasis are back at Wembley Stadium for their final London shows this weekend (Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28) but fans of Noel and Liam Gallagher are already turning their attention to the prospect of a new tour in summer 2026. Music fans are known to be quick to make potential links between different groups making tour announcements and confirmation that Take That will be playing at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium has sent Oasis followers into a spiral of possibilities.

Take That’s Circus Live Tour, which is coming to the London Stadium on June 26 and June 27, will also be heading to the Etihad Stadium – home to Noel and Liam’s beloved Manchester City – on June 19 and 20. This signals a return for live music at the football stadium for the first time in three years.

Oasis fans reckon this clears the path for Oasis to play at the Etihad in 2026. Fan pages shared images of the Etihad Stadium following Take That’s Friday announcement with the caption: “The Etihad Stadium are officially hosting gigs this summer” accompanied by “wide eye” emojis.

Oasis fan rumours over Knebworth gigs

Speculation has been swirling for weeks that dates have been secured at the Etihad Stadium by promoters as part of plans for a summer 2026 Oasis tour that will commemorate 30 years since the band’s iconic Maine Road performances.

Manchester City’s stadium has undergone significant construction over the past two years, which meant no live music concerts could be held at the Etihad Stadium this summer, leading Oasis to perform their reunion gigs at Heaton Park instead. The last music concerts at the Etihad took place in June 2023, featuring big-name performers like Coldplay and The Weekend.

However, following Take That’s major announcement, the Etihad Stadium has now confirmed that it will be open for other summer concerts from next year. A spokesperson stated: “Following the construction of the North Stand expansion, the Etihad Stadium will be available again for stadium tour gigs from Summer 2026.”

Rumours continue to swirl that the band is considering a residency at the Etihad Stadium and a return to Knebworth next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their triumphant concerts at the Hertfordshire estate.

Dates have been doing the rounds online revealing five alleged dates in July at the Etihad, and four in August for Knebworth, plus additional dates across Europe including, Paris, Madrid and Budapest. Yet the band’s representatives have dismissed the alleged dates circulating online as “fake news”.

New London Oasis merchandise store opening

A pop-up shop selling exclusive Oasis merchandise is opening on Friday (September 26) ahead of the Gallagher brothers return to Wembley Stadium this weekend. Located right under the iconic Piccadilly Lights, the store will give fans a chance to snap up items inspired by hit songs Definitely Maybe, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, Wonderwall and Supersonic, as well as the iconic logo.

You’ll have to be quick though as the fan store is only sticking around over the weekend, before setting up in Seoul, Tokyo and Melbourne next month. Doors will open at 10am each day, and close at 10pm on Friday/Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.

Whilst walk-ins are permitted, queues are expected along the legendary shopping street. Organisers have once again put a pre-booking system in place and early slots are already filling up – select your time and date before it’s too late.
