Three people are in hospital following a triple stabbing in Bermondsey last night (Wednesday, August 27). Paramedics treated the group outside the Cantium Retail Park on Old Kent Road just before 10.45pm, with the London Ambulance Service confirming they each suffered ‘major trauma’.
The extent of their injuries are not yet known. A cordon remains in place on the busy A-road this morning as police continue to investigate what happened.
Old Kent Road has now been closed between Glengall Road and St James’s Road for over 12 hours. A number of buses – 21, 53, 78, 172 and 453 – are on diversion as a result.
The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for more information.
