The pop star gave an exclusive interview to MyLondon, revealing his favourite London spots and what’s in store for a calmer 2026.

Olly Murs has revealed his favourite London restuarant – one of which he claims has ‘probably the best food on the planet’. The singer and presenter has been enjoying a quieter life at home in Essex with his wife and their nine-week-old baby, Albert.

He was born and raised in Witham, but has close ties to the capital, where he owns a home and often visits his favourite London restaurants for a taste of city life. When asked his favourite spots in London, Olly said: “I know this sounds a bit snobby, but my favourite restaurant is on Berkeley Street – it’s Park Chinois. It’s Asian, huge, with live music and entertainment every fifteen minutes. It’s pricey, but for a special occasion it feels like old-school London.”

Park Chinois pays lavish homage to 1930s Shanghai with two levels of dining and live shows. The venue is celebrated for its decadent décor and upscale Chinese food, with tasting menus starting at £95 per person.

Appetisers are priced from £16, dim sum from £14, and main dishes from around £28. For a more affordable treat, the restaurant also offers an executive lunch menu at £29 per person, which includes two starters and a main.

But Olly didn’t stop there – another top spot for him is a Turkish restaurant with personal ties. He said: “I forgot about Sheesh! They’re from Chigwell and have just come to London. Turkish cuisine, fantastic food – probably the best food on the planet, to be honest with you.”

The high-end restaurant opened in Mayfair’s Piccadilly after success in Chigwell, and offers contemporary Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine in a luxurious setting.

On the menu there are charcoal-grilled meats, seafood platters, vegetarian options and a rich, festive atmosphere for both celebrations and stylish nights out. Prices are also steep, with mains starting at £34.

Looking ahead to 2026, Olly revealed a more family-centric year in store. He said: “I’ve been busy the last three or four years. 2026 could be a year where I just take a bit of time away. I’ve got a new baby, so I’ll probably be spending a lot of time with the family. I want to make sure I don’t miss too much.”

While he remains active in music and media, he hinted at easing off. Olly said: “I’ll still be working but maybe take a foot off the gas a little bit.”
