This tricky brainteaser has left members of the public baffled. Those with “detective level” observational skills should be able to spot the three differences in the image below in just 10 seconds. The brainteaser featuring a sleeping man, a cat, and a dog has left people scratching their heads as they search for the differences in the two images.

A post from Captain Brain has left people stumped as they try and solve the three tricky differences in the two photos. It may be a “walk in the park” for those with detective-like skills, but it may take more than a few seconds for those who do not.

Comments left by those who had tackled the brainteaser had people share the trickiest of the three differences. The image above has three discrepancies which should take just 10 seconds to solve if you have detective like skills.

Beyond being an entertaining test, brainteasers examine your awareness whilst bamboozling your brain away from its regular patterns, compelling you to take another look at what you’re genuinely observing.

Changes to the dog and the man are what you should be looking for in this tricky brainteaser. So set a timer and see how you get on!

For the best results, don’t just look randomly. Start at one corner and move across the image in rows or columns.

To make sure you don’t miss anything, compare the same area in both pictures before moving to the next section.

Focus on typical changes: colours, missing or added objects, size changes, reversed items, or altered patterns.

Pay attention to edges and backgrounds, not just the main objects. And if you’re still struggling, be sure to zoom in on the image to see all of the tiny details.

One user who solved the puzzle wrote: “Found ’em. About eight seconds. Tough puzzle!”

How many did you get correct? We’re about to reveal the answers below – so stop scrolling unless you want to see spoilers.

Answer

The three differences in the picture can be spotted by looking for the dog’s right ear, which is missing in the second image, and a slightly smaller chair for the old man.

That slight change to the chair baffled one user, who said they did not see the man’s shoulder on the image.

One player who managed to spot the differences wrote: “I could not SEE the difference in the man’s shoulder on the left side in the chair. I love these. Keep’m coming!”

A third difference can be spotted with the man’s hands, which are switched in the second image. The left hand is placed on top of the right hand in the second image, a change from the opposite in the first.

People may be thrown off by more obvious areas of possible change, with neither the cat or the photo frame on the wall changing at all.

Solving a fiendishly difficult puzzle not only gives you a dopamine rush that makes you feel good, but brainteasers can also improve your problem-solving skills.

They can also boost your cognitive abilities, and even help to stave off the effects of degenerative diseases such as dementia.

Research has also found that cracking these mini-games can actually improve your attention span and increase your concentration over time.

If you fancy your chances at another brain teaser then this one may test you. There are eight hazards to spot in this summer BBQ image, with members of the public struggling to find all of them.
