It’s time to prove how high your IQ really is with this tricky brain teaser which asks you to find the odd X hidden within a colourful sea of Ys in just 21 seconds
You don’t need an IQ test to prove your intelligence, as completing this brain teaser will showcase your cognitive skills.
Those who do brain teasers regularly will know it can help improve your ability to focus, problem solve – and even boost your memory and overall cognitive function. But puzzles challenge you to think outside the box, which is why they are so tricky.
They come in all different shapes, sizes and levels of difficulty, and with this one the twist is that you have a time limit. Shared originally by JagranJosh, it allows you test your cognitive skills. And apparently, only people with ‘high IQs’ can solve it within the allotted time limit.
In the colourful brain teaser above you’ll mostly see the same letter over-and-over again in various colours – but there’s one odd one out. Spend enough time looking and you’ll undoubtedly see it – but according to the website, only people with high IQs can spot it within 21 seconds.
If you hadn’t already guessed it, you’ll see a number of Y’s – but the letter you’re trying to spot is the X. There are 13 rows and 31 columns, so you’ll need to be speedy to check through them all in the time limit.

Another puzzle challenges you to spot five specific items within an image of three people and a dog. If you can find them within 15 seconds you’re deemed a ‘genius’.
