A couple have shared how they got the last laugh over their entitled neighbour who complains about everything, from them mowing their lawn to how they park their cars, and even the police are on their side on this one
A man has been praised for getting ‘petty revenge’ on his entitled neighbour who complains about everything he does.
Speaking on his behalf, his wife explained how their neighbour moans about grass clippings wafting onto the pavement when they mow their lawn, their children’s ball landing in his garden, and even the direction they park their cars.
To teach him a lesson, they came up with a plan to put an end to his constant complaints – and even the police were on their side. She said on Reddit : “You name it, he’s mad. He comes out screaming, throwing F-bombs and crabby at the world. One day he came out mad because my husband put our van close to the mailboxes, but still the legal limit away.
“[He] called the cops on us having our truck backward on our dead-end road. Cops showed up and told us to turn our truck around and get petty. This happened a couple of months ago.”
Her husband then came up with a plan to teach him a lesson once and for all. Recalling the latest encounter, she wrote: “Our neighbour came out complaining about [my] husband’s truck being backward. So he promptly parked it in the side yard next to his house. Then took some stakes, put them in the yard, and tied a ribbon around them.
“The guy’s motion-detecting security cameras were sending alerts like crazy. It’s always windy where we live. Tonight he shut them off. Absolutely nothing he can do.” She added later: “The cop wasn’t concerned about my husband’s backwards truck.”
While most users praised the husband for his petty revenge, others shared their own suggestions of alternative things they could do. One user said: “Put on a big bright chicken costume and walk back and forth flapping your arms. That’s gotta get a rise out of him. When the cops show up, tell them you’re trying out your new Halloween costume.”
Another user added: “Buy a loud backup alarm for your truck. Back up slowly and keep the alarm on after you park for a few minutes. Do this a few times a day till he complains. The logical solution would have you park backward again.”
