While promoting her new film, Pamela Anderson has spoken out over the similarities between her cooking show and Meghan’s lifestyle series

Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has spoken out over claims that Meghan Markle “copied” her cooking show.

The allegations emerged when the Duchess ’ Netflix programme With Love, Meghan, was released in March this year, just one week after Pamela’s show, titled Pamela’s Cooking with Love, aired on Amazon. The premiere of Meghan’s lifestyle show was pushed back by two months after the wildfires in California.

Now, while promoting her new film The Naked Gun, in which she stars alongside Liam Neeson, Pamela was quizzed over the comparisons of their lifestyle shows. Appearing on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live programme, the show host addressed the viral accusations during a segment called Plead the Fifth. It comes after Meghan Markle’s birthday ‘gimmick’ is quietly shelved after major mistake .

Cohen asked Anderson: “On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip-off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela’s Cooking with Love?”

Anderson, who appeared surprised by the question, replied: “One – I didn’t”. Pressing her on the topic, Cohen again asked: “One? On a scale from one to 10, you did not see any similarities?”

Pamela answered with a laugh: “No, I didn’t really look, but I didn’t invent cooking shows. She’s just doing her thing.”

Fans of Anderson’s programme were quick to point out the similarities between the two shows when they first aired, noting that Anderson and Meghan both filmed themselves in brightly lit country kitchens, smiling and laughing with guests, while cooking aspirational meals alongside photogenic friends and celebrities.

In addition, both women were filmed carrying wicker baskets filled with fruit and vegetables from their gardens, dancing joyfully, and high-fiving their guests. Each series also ran for eight episodes.

Anderson is not the only celebrity who Meghan’s new lifestyle brand has been compared to, as online commentators have also likened Meghan’s brand As Ever to similar projects by Gwyneth Paltrow and Martha Stewart.

While Paltrow and Anderson have both been quick to shut down rumours of any beef between them and the Duchess of Sussex, Martha Stewart seemed to be a little more hesitant in her comments about Meghan.

During an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle , Martha said of the Duchess: “Meghan I don’t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she’s talking about.”

“Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important.”

Although a second season of With Love, Meghan is due to air later this year, recent reports have claimed that Meghan and Harry ’s lucrative deal with Netflix will not be renewed when it expires in September.

With Love, Meghan failed to break into Netflix’s top 300 shows for the first half of 2025, and was outperformed by multiple seasons of the legal drama Suits, in which she starred before she met Prince Harry.
