A woman has shared how she was one of the groomsmen at her friends wedding and wore a matching dress to the other groomsmen’s suits – and it’s caused a huge debate

A woman has sparked a fierce debate after she revealed she was part of the groomsmen at her friend’s wedding.

While traditionally at weddings the groomsmen will all be men, while the bridal party is all women – Chloe Bouda was part of the all-male groom’s party.

She took to social media to share snaps of the wedding – where she asked “Bridal party who?” and was stood in a dress matching the colour of the groomsmen. Chloe wore a beige silk dress to match with the men’s beige suits and said: “POV: You were always one of the boys so now you’re on the groom’s side.”

However, people weren’t impressed with her video and brutally slammed her while she looked stunning in the silk dress and wedges, and her blonde hair was in loose waves as she held a white flower bouquet. In Chloe’s video, it looked as if the groomsmen party had fun at the wedding – and there was no mention that the bride had an issue with Chloe as a groomsman.

Even though there are no official ‘rules’ for wedding parties, it’s a controversial decision and many people claimed it was wrong of her to join the groomsmen, while brutally calling her a “pick me girl”. This insult describes women who think they’re “unlike”, and sometimes even better, than other women in order to get approval, attention or validation from men.

“My man respects my boundaries so thankfully this will never be me, but super cute for you,” one TikTok user wrote, while another said: “If they’re not related, I would kick my husband out of my own wedding,” and a third commented: “See a girl’s girl just would simply not post this.”

And a fourth added: “She’s so beautiful but the bride must be made of something stronger than I am.” However, others didn’t see an issue with her being one of the groomsmen as one TikToker chimed: “I really don’t see the big deal lol if the bride is okay with it then there’s no problem!” And another echoed: “I was Groomswoman for my best mate recently. Was an absolute honour.”
