Person rushed to hospital after Hackney stabbing in early hours of the morning

A person was rushed to hospital after being stabbed. They were found with knife injuries on Hackney Road in the early hours of Wednesday (April 3).

The street has been closed off by police while they carry out their investigation.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said it was called just after 1.30am to reports of a stabbing. Ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and members of the tactical response unit were sent to the scene.

The spokesperson added: “We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance by car. We treated a patient at the scene before taking him them to major trauma centre.”

The incident on A1208 Hackney Road has forced a closure in both directions, from Ravenscroft Street to Cremer Street/Diss Street. Diversions affecting buses have also been in place, impacting bus routes 26 and 55.
