The police cordon around the park has since been lifted
Police are hunting a suspect over a sex attack in South London park last night.
The victim was reportedly attacked late on the evening of Saturday, September 6, at Manor Park, Lewisham, and is being supported by specialist officers.
Earlier today, police were spotted guarding the entrance to the site, which was taped off and walkers were prevented from accessing the park. The cordon has since been lifted.
Police are searching for one suspect who remains at large and no arrests have been made yet.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police received a report of sexual assault at 9.56pm on Saturday, September 6. One victim is being supported by specialist officers.
“One suspect remains outstanding.
“No arrests have been made at this stage and the investigation is ongoing.
“A crime scene was established on Manor Park, Lewisham on Sunday, 7 September. This has since been closed.”
