Police hunt woman after teenage boy ‘sexually assaulted in Paddington station’

An image has been released of a woman police would like to speak to

Police have launched a manhunt after an alleged sexual assault on a teenage boy in Paddington station. British Transport Police say the victim was sat on a bench in the station concourse when he was approached just before 11pm on Sunday, August 31.

The woman then reportedly sat next to the teenager and sexually assaulted him before he left the station. Officers have released images of a woman they want to speak to in connection with the investigation.

She is wearing a pink jumper, light trousers and can be seen with a large orange suitcase. Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police quoting reference 410 of 2 September.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers investigating a sexual assault at Paddington railway station in August have today released this image in connection. Just before 11pm on Sunday 31 August, a teenager was sat on a bench on the station concourse when he was approached by a woman.

“The woman then sat next to the teenager and proceeded to sexually assault him before he left the station. Officers believe the woman in the image may have information which could help their investigation.

“Anyone who recognises her is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 410 of 2 September. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
