Two men have been charged after a woman was stabbed in an early morning Lewisham attack. Jorge Enrique Borges, 64, of Buttermere Close, Southwark, and Mateo Valencia Cano, 24, of Whitehorse Lane, South Norwood appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court yesterday Monday (July 1) charged with conspiracy to murder.
Cano was also charged with attempted murder, robbery, and possession of an offensive weapon.
They were both arrested on Friday (June 28) and were charged on Saturday (June 29).

Police raced to Lewisham Way at around 9am on May 24 this year to reports of an attack.
There they found the woman in her 30s who’d been stabbed. Her condition was not life-threatening.
