A man from Islington is facing multiple charges following a stabbing in Dalston earlier this week. Rouzi Tuerhong, of Caledonian Road, is accused of knifing a 27-year-old man on Kingsland High Street at around 12.20am on Tuesday, July 15.
The 24-year-old was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article. He is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on August 19.
Police were called to the busy road in Hackney in the early hours after receiving a concerning report. Upon arrival, officers found a woman holding a knife.
She was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of a weapon but later released on bail. A 19-year-old woman was also arrested at the scene before being released with no further action.
The injured man, who self-presented at hospital, is now recovering from multiple knife injuries. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, according to a statement issued by the Metropolitan Police.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Rouzi Tuerhong, 24 (26.11.2000) of Caledonian Road, N1 has since been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article. He will next appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on 19 August.”
